Since 2020, Rhiannon has been the Artistic Director of Silkroad Ensemble, an organization that exists to demonstrate that deep artistic collaboration across cultural difference can generate new music, deepen human understanding, and strengthen the creative life of communities.

In November 2026, Rhiannon curates the Reflektor Festival at the Elbphilharmonie in Hamburg, Germany. She has previously curated season-long programs at Carnegie Hall in New York and Wigmore Hall in London. She has also curated the Ojai Music Festival, Cambridge Folk Festival, and her own Biscuits and Banjos Festival in Durham, NC.
